The titanium alloy is Ti-6Al-4V, having a high strength-to-weight ratio is also non-magnetic and extremely corrosion resistant.

The profile of the opener is cut with a water jet machine. Water jets spray an accurate and concentrated jet of water mixed with a powdered abrasive (usually garnet) at a very high pressure (50,000psi or higer) out of a nozzle that follows a programmed path.

The logo is engraved with a carbide cutting tool in a computer controlled milling machine.
